2017 Flying Season is Done

That’s a wrap on the 2017 hang gliding and paragliding season in Golden BC.

The Lookout launch on Mount 7 got snowed on last week and heavier snow is predicted for the balance of this week. It was a pretty good summer despite forest fire smoke in the air most of the time. Many pilots achieved personal best distances during the 2017 Willi-XC Challenge event with several achieving the 140km benchmark – Golden to Canal Flats.

Time to put away the wings and get out the skis. See you in June 2018 on Mount 7 in Golden BC!
